I'm having a problem with my audio after upgrading to Windows Unlike some of the others on here, mine only occurs with Windows 10 netflix app sound issues streaming.

There's a 'crackling' sound when there's music or dialog, like there's a wire loose and it's making an intermittent connection. I've run the diagnostics program didn't find anythingand I've tried updating and reinstalling the audio drivers, using different browsers, MS Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and the Netflix App but none of these have sounnd the problem. I think it may have been one of the recent updates, since this only started a couple of weeks ago, but which one?

Called Microsoft support and after a lengthy amount of time, they could not help. Finally found a solution : Go to the Control Panel, then Sound. My default format was set to DVD quality.
